This also applies if you wish to switch from German to Swiss health insurance. In such cases, you must present a valid insurance proof within the same period.
When choosing a Swiss insurer, you will receive the E106 form, which can be submitted to any health insurance in your country of residence to also receive medical services there. You pay the full contributions for a Swiss health insurance yourself. The scope of services and cost participation, including the annual franchise and deductible, differ from those in Germany.

Cost participation in Swiss basic insurance includes an annual franchise and a deductible. With an annual franchise of 300 francs, which can be increased, you contribute to the costs. Costs exceeding the franchise are covered by the insurance, with you bearing up to ten percent, capped at 700 francs for adults and 350 francs for children.
